Dawlish Walking Festival
The second Walking Festival in Dawlish celebrates the wonderful walking in the town, in nearby wooded hills, and by the sea along the red rocky coast.

22nd April - 1st May


Haltwhistle Spring Walking Festival
The Northumberland walking festival returns.  We provide your gateway to Hadrian's Wall Country, Northumberland National Park and the North Pennines AONB.  
Every day there is a longer and a shorter walk. On four days there will also be a Special Interest walk.

Ulverston WalkFest
Set on the fringe of the beautiful Lake District the annual Ulverston walking festival celebrates the town and surrounding area’s rich history. The festival programme will offer walks for all ages and abilities including the Sir John Barrow Amble, a walk in the footsteps of the Quakers, "Walks for Wheels", nature walks and map reading activities.

Frodsham Festival of Walks

Frodsham Festival of Walks is a series of guided walks around the Frodsham area, organised by Frodsham Town Council each year.

ride2sride - The Settle-Carlisle Walking Festival
ride2stride is a festival of walks, talks and music along the fabulous Settle-Carlisle railway line.  It's a week long celebration of the wonderful landscape and culture of the western Dales and Eden Valley.  The festival is made up of lots of events and activities and things will be happening along the length of the line. Walks will be led from stations by experienced walk leaders. Speakers will share their local knowledge and love of the area, and the pubs will be buzzing with music and song.

Talgarth Walking Festival

Celebrate Spring's arrival at Talgarth's fifth Walking Festival. We have castles and mountains, red kites and otters, an ancient hill fort, burial mounds, waterfalls, and a restored watermill.

Ironbridge Gorge Walking Festival
This year's festival is offering 57 walks over 9 days in and around the Ironbridge Gorge. There is something for all abilities from short 3 or 4 mile afternoon or evening walks to all day treks with a different walk of approximately 20 miles on 7 of the 9 days and everything in between.

If you have not been before you have nothing to lose (well perhaps a couple of pounds!) and the opportunity to make some new friends. To those who have joined us before, we look forward to welcoming you back, as friends.

Isle Walk2017
This year, the
popular Isle of Wight Walking Festival returns as IsleWalk2017, with local and visiting walkers of all ages and abilities setting off on trails across the Island’s picturesque landscape.  Walkers will get up close and personal with the best of the Island's stunning scenery, as they journey from the beautiful chalky cliffs of the west coast to the lush green rolling hills of the east.

North Devon and Exmoor Walking Festival
Now in its 17th year, the festival is one in two halfs - North Devon for the first half of the week, and Exmoor in the last.  Possibly the UKs most scenic walking festival...

Bingley Walking Festival
Bingley Walkers are Welcome are very pleased to announce their first one day Walking Festival to be held on Bank Holiday Monday May 1st - and if successful, this will be the first of many Walking Festivals in the town.  There will be four walks on offer starting from different venues and at different times.

Bristol Walk Fest 2017

Take part in the annual walking festival and discover the best walks that Bristol and its surrounding areas have to offer.  Bristol Walk Fest (Bristol Walking Festival) features over 150 of the best walks in and around Bristol.  The festival aims to attract a wide audience from those that are very new to walking to the more experienced rambler.

Newton Stewart Walking Festival
A week of guided walks exploring the wild hills, rugged coastline and rolling countryside of Galloway, south west Scotland.

6th - 14th May


Chesterfield Area Walking Festival
Enjoy the Chesterfield area on foot by taking part in this nine day walking festival featuring 58 walks. Discover the pretty Derbyshire village of Ashover, find out what’s so fascinating about trees or search out the Florence Nightingale connection at Pleasley Pit Country Park.

Bishop’s Castle Walking Festival
Bishop’s Castle lies in wonderful unspoilt country, surrounded by the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.  With hundreds of miles of footpaths leading over high, open hilltops, and through narrow, winding valleys, tiny hamlets and the remains of ancient hill forts, it’s no wonder Bishop’s Castle has always attracted walkers.

The National Forest Walking Festival
Join us for a host of varied walks to explore this ever changing landscape. With over 70 to choose from there walks to suit every taste and ability, from gentle strolls to strenuous rambles and routes to cater for seasoned walkers as well as pushchairs, wheelchairs and family groups.

Suffolk Walking Festival
The annual Suffolk Walking Festival, where walkers enjoy 'walking with words', scary tales and woodland wonders.

Coleford Area Walking Festival
The Coleford area abounds in natural beauty, intriguing history and is a playground for outdoor pursuits. It has been crying out for its own walking festival. Coleford Area Walking Festival has been a collaborative project led by Coleford Area Partnership and Coleford Town Council.  This first event, held between the 15th and 21st May 2017 will play host to 25 walks over a 7 day period.

Isle of Arran Mountain Festival
The Arran Mountain Festival is an exciting four day event of guided walking and scrambling in the Isle of Arran’s hills and mountains.

Winchcombe Welcomes Walkers - Annual Walking Festival
The annual walking festival welcomes walkers to the Winchcombe, the walking centre for the Cotswolds.

Lincolnshire Wolds Walking Festival
Supported by the Lincolnshire Ramblers, the Lincolnshire Wolds Walking Festival will feature over 80 walks largely based in the delightful Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Walks are led by knowledgeable and experienced local guides with themed walks and outings for different ability levels on offer during the festival.

Ballater Walking Festival
Explore the natural beauty of the Cairngorms surrounding Ballater with a series of guided walks.  All ages and levels are welcome and with a full social calendar you are sure to have an outstanding time.

Rutland Walking Festival
The Rutland Walking and Cycling Festival is back for its eight year and bigger and better than ever. Active Rutland leads the event and it will include family, inclusive and senior cycle rides plus two great launch events at Rutland Water and Ketton Sports Association. The popular festival is a fun packed celebration of Rutland and its glorious countryside.

Vale of Glamorgan Walking Festival
Those who have never visited this part of Wales, situated on the coast between the Gower and Cardiff, will enjoy walking through fertile, rolling lowland countryside adjoining the spectacular Heritage Coast with towering cliffs and remote beaches.  The Vale as its known locally is a maze of footpaths, country lanes, little villages, fine dining and country inns.

Llanelli Festival of Walks
Llanelli Ramblers organise and host the Llanelli Festival of Walks which is an annual event that has attracted hundreds of visitors to the town since its beginnings in 1995 and has established Llanelli as a popular centre for walking.

WalkFest 2017
Come to the North York Moors National Park over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend for the return of our walking festival and enjoy a great programme of guided themed walks in some very special places. We'll have walks for all ages and abilities; expert guides from the worlds of archaeology, wildlife, conservation, even brewing; children’s treasure hunts to moorland hikes; afternoon tea strolls and steam train rides

Corby Walking Festival
A varied series of walks to suit all abilities and tastes with some themed to include local history and photography. The festival features walks over short distances right up to the complete 35 mile Around Corby walking route, tackled over two days.

Redcar and Cleveland’s Summer Walking Festival
Redcar and Cleveland’s Summer Walking Festival s an exciting event that includes walks for everyone from beginners to the more advanced walker. Thanks to working in partnership with even more walking groups to bring many exciting, new and informative walks around the borough of Redcar & Cleveland.

Moray Walking Festival
Let the Moray Walking and Outdoor Festival take you on an adventure in 2017.  Enjoy long Midsummer days exploring Moray’s world renowned golden coasts, hills and forests full of hidden fauna and flora, whisky coloured rivers and towns with stories to tell and culture to experience.  There’s something for everyone – guided walks, talks and events along side outdoor activities and walking challenges.

You will be sure of a warm welcome on the 17th Otley Walking Festival with 50 great walks in stunning Wharfedale .  Warm welcome, good company, fantastic scenery. Variety of walks – short town-based walks, strenuous moorland hikes and everything in between, plus full evening events programme.
Festival Highlight – An 8 mile walk incorporating a guided tour of Farnley Hall with its wonderful  collection of unseen Turner watercolours. There will also be a unique opportunity to see the 17th Centaury Kirkstall Forge on the  FORGING AHEAD – OTLEY TO KIRKSTALL FORGE walk on Monday 26 June.

Pendle Walking Festival

Join us on one of the country’s largest free walking festivals. The festival has walks for all abilities from short, family-oriented walks to more challenging routes. This year come and help us celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Pendle Way, which you can walk in 4 days. We are also featuring the 400th anniversary  of Jonas Moore, who came from Pendle. Affectionately known as “the father of time” he helped set up Greenwich Mean Time. Pendle is situated in Pennine East Lancashire, just below the Yorkshire Dales. The area is rapidly gaining a reputation as a walker’s paradise, and this event truly showcases some of the best countryside in the North.

White Cliffs Walking Festival

2017 is the fourth walking festival, with new walks with a particular emphasis on culture and nature as well as some of great scenic beauty. There's something for everything with a wide range of walks to suit everyone. This festival will encourage you to take a break and get to know some of our wonderful local countryside, whether you are an experienced walker or not.

Dartmoor Walking Festival

In what promises to be a fantastic showcase of all that Dartmoor National Park has to offer, the Dartmoor Walking Festival will offer a variety of walks, talks and events throughout its 9 day programme. The Festival is being organised by the Moorland Guides, who will be offering a variety of half and full days walks across the whole of the National Park. In addition to this will be some Dartmoor National Park Authority Ranger-led walks, providing an insight into the work they do.
