These are the two routes which make up the South Yorkshire Way.

The Boundary Route (in green) is 171 miles around the edge of the county, taking in parts of the Peak District in the west and the Humberhead Levels in the east and passing through wonderfully varied countryside and fascinating villages along the way.

The Central Route (in orange) is 98 miles straight through the heart of the county, passing through the centres of Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield, taking in old country houses, castles, follies, country parks, canals and nature reserves along the way.

The two routes meet near Thorne North Railway Station at the east side, and near Dore & Totley Railway Station at the west side.
